Our integrated approach to quality, health & safety and environmental management

Synchronous Ltd delivers consultancy, project delivery, engineering and automation services. We are committed to managing quality, health and safety, and environmental performance through a single, coherent Integrated Management System (IMS), so that these disciplines reinforce rather than compete with one another across every engagement.

Our commitment

Synchronous Ltd is committed to delivering its services safely, to a consistently high standard, and with care for the environment, while satisfying client requirements and meeting all applicable legal and other obligations. We pursue this through an integrated management system aligned with the principles of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

Quality

We deliver work that consistently meets client requirements and the standards of our profession. We define clear scopes, manage projects diligently, learn from feedback, and correct problems at their root so that quality improves over time.

Health and safety

We provide safe and healthy working conditions to prevent injury and ill health, eliminate hazards and reduce risk so far as is reasonably practicable, and comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the CDM Regulations 2015, and all relevant provisions. Our detailed arrangements are set out in our Health & Safety Policy.

Environment and sustainability

We protect the environment and prevent pollution, use resources efficiently, minimise and responsibly manage waste, and consider environmental impact in the decisions we make. Our detailed approach is set out in our Sustainability Policy.

How we achieve this

• Leadership and accountability: the Managing Director owns this policy, provides the resources to implement it, and leads by example.
• Objectives and targets: we set measurable objectives for quality, safety and environmental performance, aligned with our strategic direction.
• Risk and opportunity: we identify hazards, risks and opportunities, and act to eliminate hazards, reduce risk, prevent pollution and improve performance.
• Legal and other compliance: we identify and meet our compliance obligations and keep them under review.
• Competence and consultation: our people are trained and competent for their work, and we consult and involve employees, contractors and stakeholders on matters affecting them.
• Continual improvement: we monitor, audit and review performance, and use the findings to improve the system and our results.
• Supply chain: we expect our subcontractors, suppliers and partners to share these commitments and work to compatible standards.

Scope

This policy applies to all activities carried out by Synchronous Ltd, at our own premises and on client and project sites, and to everyone working for or on behalf of the Company. It is communicated to all personnel, made available to interested parties on request, and reviewed at least annually and whenever there is a significant change to the business, its activities or the relevant standards and legislation.
