Synchronous Ltd is committed to sustainable development: meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. We aim to reduce the environmental impact of our consultancy, automation, entertainment-technology and engineering work, and to operate responsibly across our own activities and supply chain.

1. Purpose and scope

This policy sets out our environmental and sustainability commitments and how we deliver them. It applies to all our activities, at our own premises and on client and project sites, and to everyone working for or on behalf of the Company. We recognise that our work can have both positive and negative effects on the environment, people and communities, and we take environmental, social and economic impact into account in the decisions we make.

2. Our commitments

Within the financial and practical constraints of the business, Synchronous Ltd will:

3. How we manage it

We take a systematic approach to environmental management aligned with the principles of ISO 14001, and will implement a formal environmental management system where the scale of our activities or client requirements warrant it. The Managing Director holds overall responsibility for environmental performance and for setting and reviewing objectives, and may delegate day-to-day responsibility as the Company grows.

4. Practical measures

Depending on the activity and site, our practical measures include:

5. Our people and supply chain

We raise awareness of environmental and sustainability issues among our people, provide appropriate information and training, and encourage new ideas and initiatives. We seek to work with our supply chain, clients and, where relevant, local communities and government, to reduce the environmental impact of our operations and to take up opportunities to do better.

6. Monitoring and review

We monitor our environmental performance against our objectives, document our progress, and review this policy at least annually and whenever our activities, the law or our obligations change. This policy is communicated to our people and made available to interested parties on request.
